Talent Show & Costume Parade

One of our con traditions is the Talent Show and Costume Parade. If you're so inclined, join us for the Costume Parade - each participant will have the opportunity to "walk the runway" in this unique fashion-show-style review. Or, if you're really brave, show off that hidden talent that nobody knows about in our Talent Show. Do you sing? Do you dance? Recite poetry? Have a skit in mind to entertain your fellow con-goers? Grab your 5 minutes of fame!
Charity Auction

Another con tradition is to raise funds for the con charity by auctioning show-related memorabilia and other items. This is your opportunity to contribute to the charity AND go home with an item or two for your collection!

The charity auction is run like any auction - an item will be shown and described, an opening bid suggested, and then...we're off! Bid against your fellow fans - don't be shy! We don't mind the competition and you won't hurt anyone's feelings by bidding against them. Don't be intimidated - follow your heart and bid on the items you'd love to own. It's all for a good cause!

A winning bidder may pay for his/her item right after the bidding concludes for the item, or may ask to run a tab and wait until after the entire auction concludes. Either way, be prepared to write a check, sign travelers checks, or have cash in hand for the item(s), and take immediate ownership of the item(s) once paid for. If you make prior arrangements, we can take your payment via PayPal (sorry, we're not sophisticated enough for credit cards!). If your item is bulky, we can make arrangements to have it shipped at your expense.

Art Auction

Depending upon the number of pieces which will go to auction, this may be combined with the charity auction, or may be held separately. The Art Auction starts life in a different way from the Charity Auction. See the description of the
Art/Costume Room for more information.

Beast Bingo

Beast Bingo is one of our most favorite con traditions. Created by Judy Loyd, Beast Bingo works the same as regular bingo except that instead of numbers, the bingo cards are covered with items related to the show - episode titles, character names, etc. And instead of calling "BINGO!", the winner calls out "BEAST!" It costs $1.00 per card, per game (aside from a few freebies) and all of the money collected will go to charity with one special session to collect funds for the restoration of the Griffith Park Carousel, used in the filming of Beauty and the Beast. It is always a fun time! The winners get to choose some small gift(s) to take home and the charity reaps the benefits.
